We Have Moved!!
On September 16, 2023, after spending 64 years at 128 King Ave., we opened our doors at 310 S. Second St. (beside of the post office). We fortunate to be able to open the doors of our new location on the 51st anniversary of the opening of the bakery as the Albemarle Sweet Shop by the Bagwell family (see article below).
Our new location has brought lots of changes for us at the bakery. We now have indoor and outdoor seating, drip coffee, full line of espresso based drinks, nitro cold brew on tap, eleven beers on tap, wine, mimosas, several flavors of dip ice cream and we are adding new products with our increased case space.
Our new location has allowed us to keep bringing you the Albemarle Sweet Shop/Albemarle Bake Shop/Albemarle Bakery goodies that you have grown up on and allowed us to bring many new products to the next generation of Sweet Shop lovers.
